In general we look for people with outstanding real-world software development experience, who are comfortable moving between prototyping languages (i.e., Python, Perl, etc) and deployment languages (C++, Java). 5/21/11: Senior Robotics Software Engineer (Full Time Position)


We have an opening on a new project that involves developing ground/air vehicle mission management systems and autonomy behaviors. We are looking for someone who has:  

  • Strong C/C++/Java software development skills, with experience with the latest toolchains and IDEs, in a Linux environment.
  • Strong, demonstrated experience with multi-threaded and concurrent programming is a requirement.
  • Familiarity with designing and developing mobile robot localization techniques such as Kalman Filters, Particle Filters, etc
  • Famliiarity with designing and developing navigation algorithms, including global path planning (D*, Field D*, etc), local trajectory evaluation, working with cost maps and evidence grids
  • Familiarity with basic sensor fusion techniques to combine laser, radar, and color data for terrain classification and cost map population
  • Comfortable working with basic hardware and working on-platform
  • Familiarity with ROS or JAUS is a strong plus
  • Experience using scripting languages such as Python or Perl
  • For this position, a Ph.D. in a robotics related field with 1-5 years experience, or a MS in a robotics related field with 3+ years is required.


5/15/11: Web Applications Developer (6 Month Contract Position)


We have a need for an experiences web applications developer for a 6-month contract position, at our Wexford location.

  • Experience developing website APIs and the underlying software infrastructure that supports them
  • Proficient knowledge of standard web development technologies: HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, MySQL
  • Experience developing advanced JavaScript controls using technologies like jQuery
  • Proficient knowledge of how to design and programmatically interact with MySQL databases
  • Knowledge of how Ajax works and how to utilize it to build intuitive websites
  • Experience using scripting languages such as Python or Perl
  • Knowledge of how to utilize popular APIs (Twitter, Facebook, etc)
