We are looking for software developers to join our team. In general we look for people with outstanding real-world software development experience, who are comfortable moving between prototyping languages (i.e., Python, Perl, etc) and deployment languages (C++, Java). 02/01/13: UAV and Interoperability Lead Engineer (Full Time Position)

This position involves helping Neya grow our technical and program capabilities in interoperability and open architectures, especially as relates to Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. This is a senior level technical and business development position. We are looking for someone who has:

  • Subject matter expertise (at least 10 years experience) in open architectures and open systems
  • Experience writing and capturing proposals in the $1-5M range
  • Familiarity with on-going Army and Navy UAV Programs of Record
  • Familiarity with Army and Navy Interoperability Profiles
  • Familiarity with Model Driven Architecture, Product Line Approaches, and Systems Engineering
  • Ideally, familiarity with one or more open architecture standards (e.g. JAUS, STANAG 4586, UCS)

11/19/12: Robotics Software Engineer (Full Time Position)

We have openings on new projects involving development of advanced autonomy capabilities. We are looking for someone who has:

  • Strong C/C++ software development skills, with experience with the latest toolchains and IDEs, in a Linux environment.
  • Strong, demonstrated experience with multi-threaded and concurrent programming is a requirement.
  • Willingness to travel (15-20%)
  • Familiarity with designing and developing navigation algorithms, including global path planning (D*, Field D*, etc), local trajectory evaluation, working with cost maps and evidence grids
  • Experience with large UGV platforms is a plus
  • Familiarity with ROS or JAUS is a strong plus
  • Experience with TCP/UDP protocols is a plus
  • For this position, an MS in a robotics related field with 1-5 years experience is required.

11/19/12: Robotics Software Engineer (Full Time Position)

We have openings on new projects involving development of advanced machine learning algorithms for sensor processing. We are looking for someone who has:

  • Strong C++ software development skills, with experience with the latest toolchains and IDEs, in a Linux environment.
  • Strong, demonstrated experience with multi-threaded and concurrent programming is a requirement.
  • Background in machine learning is a plus
  • Experience (1-5 years) in computer vision / image processing
  • Experience in tracking or activity detection is a strong plus
  • For this position, an MS in robotics or computer science with 1-5 years experience is required.
